Here are my instructions from The Complete Idiot Guide To Seed Saving & Starting on how to germinate Asclepias (milkweed). Use the paper towel germination method (video linked below), refrigerating seeds for 10 weeks; some varieties germinate better after being pre-treated with GA-3; however, most common types do not need this type of treatment. Often seed companies pre-treat milkweed seeds with GA-3. Milkweed resents having its roots disturbed (tap root) when transplanted. The average germination time is 7 to 90 days.
